OPULENCE, AN EVENING OF ART, MUSIC AND ELEGANCE
The New Sky Collective is a collective of young artistic individuals dedicated to promoting the empowerment of people, protection of the environment and respect for cultural diversity.
Toronto, Ontario – The New Sky Collective presents its first annual fundraiser Opulence, produced by young artists and musicians from across the GTA. Join us for wine and hor d’oeuvres on Friday, June 11th at the Arta Gallery in the historical and cultural Distillery District.
A foundation committed to giving back to the community through creativity and friendship, The New Sky Collective celebrates diversity. Opulence will be a night of positive imagery while raising awareness on violence against women. “They say that it only takes one person to create change, but true change only happens through the power of a collective. I believe it's time to fight for social consciousness," says Julia Dinh, co-founder and co-vice president of The New Sky Collective, “This is a fight for our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, nieces, aunts, friends, and neighbors."
With an eclectic assortment of artists and performers, Opulence promises an evening of inspiration and empowerment. DJ Jason Neyra will be spinning music throughout the night highlighting featured artists Sarah Cooper, Jasmine Hadziavdic, Simon La, Kitty Ma, Adriana Mahalean, Daniel and Gydaa Oliveria, John Palanca, Victoria Wong and Edward Yang, with performances by Domanique Grant, Bianca Josie Schmutz, Mykah Dela Cruz and Semeerah. Together, they are bound by their mission to raise awareness and support women in need. All net proceeds will be going to a charity chosen at the end of the evening.
A limited amount of tickets are available prior to the night of the gala for $25 (Regular) which includes a complimentary beverage, or $40 (VIP) which includes line bypass and a complimentary bottle of wine. For more information on the fundraiser and our mission, please visit www.new-sky.org. Tickets for Opulence can be purchased directly through the website or by contacting Julia Dinh by e-mailing julia006@hotmail.com or by calling 416.779.1006.
This is a 19+ semi-formal event so dress to the nines and come support women everywhere on Friday, June 11th at 8pm at the Arta Gallery in the Distillery District, Building 9, 416.364.2782.
